In case you missed it, The 61st Annual Miss USA Pageant was held at The Theatre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas Nevada.
Although I was rooting for Miss Maryalnd throughout the pageant, Miss Maryland and Miss Rhode Island, were both very strong strong contestants throughout the entire pageant.
I’m sure the scores of Miss Maryland and Miss Rhode Island were close, but I feel as though the transgender question made the difference in their scores. Miss Rhode Island’s answer to that question was PERFECT, diplomatic and appealing to audiences, especially based on how the transgender pageant participation was relevant in the news (see website below.)

In the final round to determine the winner, Culpo was asked to answer a question submitted by a pageant follower on Twitter. “Would you feel it would be fair that a transgender woman wins the Miss USA title over a natural-born woman?” so the question read.
"I do think that that would be fair but I can understand that people would be a little apprehensive to take that road because there is a tradition of natural-born women, but today where there are so many surgeries and so many people out there who have a need to change for a happier life, I do accept that because I believe it’s a free country," she answered.
I had to throw a picture of Miss Illinois in there, because she is GORGEOUS, despite her not placing in the pageant. Miss Illinois is Ashley Hooks from Flossmoor, IL, and she is 25 years old.
